Jimmy wants another one?!!!WHAT?!
Yes, you heard me...Jimmy wants another baby! He says "Bree needs a little sister"(or brother)...I think he sees Bree in her cute, fun stage right now and thinks "ohhhh it would be so great to have another one of these sweet little babies.." HA. He is not the one getting pregnant, giving birth, or staying home with them! i am kind of in shock really. Bree is only 8 1/2 months right now. C'mon enjoy the roses. Actually as I get past the shock, I think its kind of sweet he would want another one so soon. It means he loooooves being a daddy. And I adore watching James and Bree interact with each other. James loves to tease Bree, and she grunts at him getting mad, of course, but not a second later, he will have her smiling and razzing back at him and saying "Dada" a million times over. Every night after Bree is in bed, James will look over at a picture of Bree on the table and say, "I miss my baby, can I go wake her up?" She melts his heart, and what can I say she melts mine too. But how to hold him off for the next little while...Of course life never goes according to plan, but it doesn't mean you can't have one. I wasn't planning on having another baby for a few years, maybe when Jimmy would graduate from law school I'd start to think about the idea of another baby. I guess we will see what the Lord has in store for us. But I just thought it was funny because right when we got married I begged Jimmy to have a baby and he wouldn't budge; now the roles are flipped, he is wanting another and I am not budging anytime soon! So, I thought it would be a fun thing to share with everyone that Jimmy is a softie and wants another little Bree running around the house! Huh, who would have thought?

pictures pictures pictures
Bree with her uncles:) i love these pictures!
As you can tell we just recently had our family pictures taken...and i can actually say they turned out really well. Plus we really didn't have any pictures of us three so. I really need to post some pictures of Christmas, Bree was just adorable as can be, but my computer that i download all our pics on is broken. Hopefully it will be up and running soon.
Well I am just gonna give a quick update of our family. Jimmy is struggling to keep up the motivation in school-I can't say I blame him though-its hard not to get burnt out from all the reading and studying. He did amazingly well for his first semester of his first year of law school...Top 10% in his class! He worked really hard for it(Believe me, Bree didn't know her father for the first part of her life because he was at the library studying 24/7). Right now he is doing interviews and looking for an internship for this summer, hopefully he will find one soon so he will quit stressing about it(cuz he's driving me nuts with all his complaining).
Bree is just a budding personality! She loves her toys, is obsessed with anything that has babies on it (books, shows, movies, pictures of herself!lol) would make me sing itsy bitsy spider every second of the day, can feed herself a whole entire box of cheerios in one sitting, can wave "hi", clap her hands on command, and can say "mama" and "dada". She makes us the proudest parents in the entire world. Oh and she has two razor sharp bottom teeth. I would know, my finger has almost been taken off twice by those blades! Her nick name right now is "Sharp tooth."
And me, well I am doing the housewife thing. I wake up every morning to my little monster whining and talking to herself in her crib. Change her butt, feed her, watch Dora the Explorer for a bit, play with Bree and then put her down for her morning nap. Decide if I should clean the house, shower or sleep a little longer...Bree wakes up form her nap, I change her butt again, we play a bit, I feed her, play some more, and she goes down for an afternoon nap. I do extra chores around the house, call my mom talk for a few...eat my own lunch and maybe watch a little TV. Bree's up in a bit and I turn on baby Einsteins for her to watch...we play and eat snacks then dinner comes of which a bath must come next, Bree get her pj's on and we wait for daddy to get home or Bree goes to bed. My days are monotonous, yet I actually do feel gratification most days. I am at home raising my beautiful happy baby, I make our home a peaceful haven for James to come home to. I'm also there if James needs a pep talk or extra cheering up while he winds down from a long day from school. Wow, I can't believe a actually wrote out my whole entire day:)I am officially a loser!
Well that's us. We find that its the little monents in our life right now that bring us the most joy. I guess we realize its the little things that make up the bigger picture. So, we are enjoying all the small special moments we have together as a family as much as we can.

Busy Busy Bree

Bree had fun today with mommy, doing arts and crafts and practicing her sitting up skills with the new toy I bought her. She is curios about everything and will grab at anything as well. This age is getting to be so much fun right now. I am just getting the hang of this whole "mommy" thing and Bree's personality just lights up my day and makes it all worth it.

bree and her ever enlarging personality

My child comes from two parents who are the oldest children in their famlilies - so you know Bree is just going to be the most head strong, stubborn, impatiant, know what she wants when she wants it typesof personality. And she has defintely already been dispalying it! First, she has to be entertained and held 24/7, and if she's not, she starts whining on the spot. If I lay her down for a moment without singing a song or talking to her or dangling a toy in front of her, she automatically starts grunting and huffing and puffing before tears start to stream down her face. As soon as I turn to give her attention, she immediatly stops her wailing and awards me with a huge chubby cheek smile:) Just today I was playing patty cake with her, and literally did it over a hundred times in a row. Everytime I ended the chant, she realized the game was over and would start to grunt and whine until I began the clapping of her hands all over again; and of course to show her approval she squealed and smiled with her tongue sticking out! Yes, her budding personality is showing up more and more each day, she is bored easily yet satisfied entirely to just cuddle up to mommy or daddy with us holding the binky in her mouth (no she does not hold the binky in by herself). She's talking and humming, smiling and laughing; reaching for almost anything and horribly irritated when her hands can't quite grasp the object she wants. She is cracking us up everyday by all that she does...as we look back, life must have been pretty boring without her.
